Love

If you had told me 21 years ago that that cute, kind, smart 17 year old boy that I was madly in love with and I would be living half way across the world on a tiny island in the Pacific with four boys I would have thought you were crazy! This life has been full of so many blessings and there is not a day go by that I am not thankful that I have this man beside me every step of the way.  I always imagined that we would end up living in the same small town in Texas we grew up in, but God had different plans.  If I had the chance to sit down with the two of us when we were 17…this is what I would say…

I can see how much you two love each other and it will be that love that will get you through all the tough times.  You will have days when you don’t believe you can do it anymore but your other half will have your back.  You will build each other up when the other doesn’t see a way.  You will support each other in the good times and the hard times.  You will be each others biggest cheerleader. You will make mistakes along the way but you will come out stronger for the lessons you learned.  Be faithful that God has a plan for the two of you.  Slow down and enjoy this beautiful life around you.  Not everything is going to work out the way you planned but that’s just God’s way of bringing something more beautiful into your life.  You will laugh together and cry together.  You will have so many adventures along the way that I want you to remember to not take any moment for granted.  You will have four amazing boys that will look up to you and teach you something in their own way.  You will spend long periods of time apart but you will find a way to show your love even when you are across the world from each other. You will have sleepless nights praying he makes it home to you.  Through all this you will always have each other and your love for each other will only grow from this day forward…
